How do I add a listing?
It's easy! First conduct a search to see if your listing is already on GuidepostUSA. If it is not,
you can add your own FREE listing. There are three steps:
1. Add Basic Attraction Information (Attraction name and 200 character summary description)
2. Address & Contact Information (Address, up to three phone numbers, email and website addresses)
3. Category & Themes (Select one sub-category and up to 5 themes)
GuidepostUSA does the rest! Pending approval, your listing will appear in search results within 24 hours.

I already have a basic listing. How do I upgrade to premium?
Do a search for your destination, go to your detailed listing page and click on the “upgrade to premium” link. Then simply follow the instructions on your screen.

How much does it cost to use GuidepostUSA.com?
It is FREE for anyone to search our site for tourism destinations in the U.S. It is also FREE for destinations to list their basic information on GuidepostUSA.com.
A premium listing, which allows the posting of additional information and
provides editing capabilities, is only $50 per year. Listing will remain
active for an entire year! That’s only $4 a month for valuable

How much does it cost for a premium event listing?
A premium event listing costs $5 per event and remains active until 30 days past the event date. (A basic event listing is free!)

How do I pay for a premium listing?
All premium listings must be paid with a credit card or Paypal through our secure checkout process. We accept all major credit cards. We never see, record or store credit card information. All payments are conducted through a third party payment company. Visit our

Do you offer discounts for multiple listings or franchises?
Yes, we provide discounts for multiple premium listings. Examples include franchises and chains, or all destinations within one area or town.

Can I log in once and access all of my listings?
Yes, use the same login name for every listing you upgrade. Then when you
login, you will see all a record of all of your listings.
Do both basic and premium listings appear in search results?
Yes, ALL listings, both basic AND premium, are included in search results. However, premium listings include up to six categories while basic listings have to choose one category. This means that premium listings have a greater chance of showing up in results. In addition, premium listings can include more information, providing a more detailed description, which also assures a better chance of appearing in more search results. A better description will also allow tourists to learn more about you!
Do you provide maps for each listing?
Yes, all listings, both basic and premium, contain an imbedded Google map automatically generated from the destination address
your provide. This is a dynamic map that allows users to zoom in and around. Premium listings also have the option to upload their own "gif" map that may better show how to reach their location.
I don’t know my latitude and longitude. What do I do?
Don’t worry – it is not necessary for you to know your latitude and longitude in order to add a listing on GuidepostUSA.com. The coordinates are automatically set based on the street address you provide and are usually accurate to within a couple of hundred feet. However, due to many factors, some coordinates may not be very accurate. Premium listings allow you to enter an exact latitude and longitude which you can calculate by using a handheld GPS unit, by clicking on your location using Google Earth at
http://earth.google.com or by following this link:
http://www.infosports.com/m/map.htm.
Can we make changes to our information once it is submitted?
Yes. With a premium listing, you can create a password that allows you (and only you) to edit your information at any time. Basic listings can make a one-time change. For changes to basic listings, please click on the “Report Error” link found on your detailed listing page.
How can we have our listing removed from GuidepostUSA.com?
If you are disappointed in any way with our service, we hope you will communicate that with us and allow us the opportunity to address your concerns. If you still wish/need to cancel for any reason, we will remove your listing from our database. Just use the “update” button found on your detailed listings page.
What happens if our premium subscription expires?
When your premium subscription expires, either after one year or at the end of our introductory period, you will receive a notice with the option to renew your listing at the premium level. Unless we receive your annual premium payment, we will automatically change your listing from premium to basic. There is no action required on your part.
